This Indenture made the fifth day of April one thousand eight hundred and ninety seven Between Hannah Ann Baker formerly of Brentwood in the County of Essex but now of 147 Mount Pleasant Road Hastings in the County of Sussex Spinster and Mary Louisa Dove formerly Mary Louisa Baker of Brentwood aforesaid but now the wife of Ezekiel Dove of Doddinghurst in the said County of Essex Farmer (hereinafter called "the Mortgagees") and the said Ezekiel Dove of the one part and John Edward Ford of 1 Westbourne Gardens Porchester Square in the County of Middlesex Gentleman (hereinafter called "the Mortgagor") of the other part and supplemental to an Indenture (hereinafter called the "the first principal Indenture") dated the second day of January One thousand eight hundred and eighty two and made between the Mortgagor of the one part and Mary Baker and the said Hannah Ann Baker of the other part being the Mortgage of certain freehold lands and hereditments at Clayhill Tottenham in the County of Middlesex to secure payment by the Mortgagee of the sum of Three thousand and eight hundred pounds with interest thereon and also supplemental to an Indenture ("hereinafter called "the second principal Indenture") dated the thirtieth day of August One thousand eight hundred and eighty two and made between the said Mary Baker Hannah Ann Baker of the one part and the Mortgagees of the other part being a transfer of to the Mortgagees of the said Mortgage Debt and interest and of the securities for the same Witnesseth that in consideration of all principal money and interest secured by the first and second principal Indentures having been paid (the receipt whereof the Mortgagees hereby acknowledge) the mortgagees with the concurrence of of the said Ezekiel Dove hereby convey unto the mortgagor All the lands and hereditments comprised in the first and second principal Indentures To hold the same unto and to the use of the Mortgagor in fee simple absolutely discharged from all principal money and interest secured by and from all claims and demands under the first and second principal Indentures respectively In witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered} Hannah Ann Baker By the above named Hannah Ann } Baker in the presence of} Mary Louisa Dove Jane Jones 148 Mount Pleasant Road Ezekiel Dove Hastings Signed Sealed and Delivered by the above} named Mary Louisa Dove in the presence of} J E Ford E Grimsley Schoolmaster Doddinghurst Signed Sealed and Delivered by the above named Ezekiel Dove in the presence of E P Landon Solr 53 New Broad Street London Signed Sealed and Delivered by the above named John Edward Ford in the presence of Francis P Landon 58 New Broad Street Articled Clerk This deed was this day produced before me and acknowledged by Mary Louisa Dove therein named to be her act and deed previous to which acknowledgement the said Mary Louisa Dove was examined by me separately and apart from her husband touching upon her knowledge of the contents of the said deed and her consent thereto and declared the same to be freely voluntarily executed by her and I declare that I am not interested or concerned either as as a party or as a Solicitor or clerk to the Solicitor for one of the partners or otherwise in the transaction giving occasion for the said Acknowledgement Dated this fifth day April One thousand eight hundred and ninety seven T Naughton 56 New Broad Street London A Commissioner appointed to take acknowledgements of married women |
