Macqueen Esquire CONVEYANCE of freehold Property at Clayhill Tottenham in the County of Middlesex Land Registry Middlesex Deeds Department Memorial registered 10 Nov 1897 23 41 No 104 This Indenture made the Eighth day of October One thousand eight hundred and ninety seven Between John Edward Ford of 1 Westbourne Gardens Porchester Square in the County of London Gentleman (hereinafter called "the Vendor") of the one part and William John Macqueen of Army and Navy Mansions Victoria Street Westminster in the County of London Brick Merchant (hereinafter called "the Purchaser") of the other part Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of Thirteen thousand eight hundred and seventy five pounds as purchase money paid to the Vendor by the Purchaser on or before the execution of these presents (the receipt whereof the Vendor hereby acknowledges) the Vendor as Beneficial Owner hereby conveys unto the Purchaser All those pieces or parcels of land hereditments and premises part of Devonshire Hill Estate at Clayhill Tottenham in the County of Middlesex containing by admeasurement Twenty seven acres and three quarters of another acre or thereabouts and on the north side of White Hart Lane together with all messuages tenements and outbuildings thereon which said premises are more particularly delineated and described in the plan drawn on these presents and are therein coloured pink As the same were (with other hereditments already conveyed to the Purchaser by the Vendor by a deed dated the Twelfth day of May One thousand eight hundred and ninety seven) formerly described as Firstly All that piece or parcel of land situate at Tottenham in the County of Middlesex containing by admeasurement one rood five perches forming a portion of the abandoned channel or bed of the New River and bounded on each side by the lands hereinafter described and intended to be hereby granted Together with the pipes fences bridge in or upon the said piece or parcel of land Secondly All that messuage or tenement with barns stables outbuildings and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate at Clayhill Tottenham aforesaid Together with the several pieces parcels of land thereunto belonging containing together by estimation Twenty five acres and nineteen perches formerly in the tenure or occupation of William Heath and now of Robert Rowley Chapman And also All that Cottage with the garden and appurtenances thereto belonging formerly in the tenure or occupation of William Samuel Richards and now of James Sadler which said Cottage adjoins the said messuage or tenement lands and premises situate at Clayhill aforesaid all which said premises were subsequently in the occupation of Joseph Fletcher or his under tenants And Thirdly All that messuage or tenement with the barns stables outbuildings appurtenances thereunto belonging situate at Clay Hill aforesaid together with two pieces thereto belonging and nearly adjoining containing by estimation Ten acres three roods and eighteen perches formerly in the occupation of John Thompson Esquire and now or late in the occupation of the said Robert Rowley Chapman with the exception of a small Paddock containing three roods and thirty one perches in the occupation of the said James Sadler Together with all buildings erections fixtures hedges ditches passages waters water courses mines minerals lights sewers drains rights easements and appurtenances to the said hereditments or any part thereof belonging or appertaining either actually or by reputation To hold the same unto and to the use of the Purchaser in fee simple In witness whereof the said parties have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first before written Signed Scaled and Delivered} by the before named John Edward} J E Ford Ford in the presence of} Frank Landon Solicitor 53 New Bond Street W J Macqueen London Signed Sealed and Delivered} by the before named William} John Macqueen in the presence} of Frank Landon |
